New 3DS in black this October, as part of an Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle in November

Nintendo yesterday advised of two new ways to purchase the smaller New 3DS.

Starting 17 October, the New 3DS will be available in black in Australia and New Zealand. The handheld console is currently only available in white.

Then, from 5 November, the New 3DS will be sold as part of an Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle, offering up a New 3DS with Animal Crossing cover plates and the game pre-installed. The New 3DS bundle retails for $249.95 AUD.

The Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle will also be offered up with the larger New 3DS XL at the game’s launch, 3 October.
