Netflix Games now available on Android smartdevices

All you need to do is update the app.

Netflix Games is now available on Android smartdevices, Netflix has today advised.

The Games rollout is now available in 190 countries around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada. A total of five games are on offer inside the Netflix app on Android (and will be available in the coming months on iOS), including:

  • Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP)
  • Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP)
  • Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop)
  • Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games)
  • Teeter Up (Frosty Pop)

The above games are included as part of a normal subscription. They’re free from microtransactions or in-game ads and can be downloaded to your smartphone from inside the Netflix app. The company also confirmed that some mobile games may need an internet connection, all offer touch controls and will not be available through Kids’ accounts.

“Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone,” said Netflix’s Mike Verdu in a statement. “We’re in the early days of creating a great gaming experience, and we’re excited to take you on this journey with us.”
