Neither Skate nor Star Wars will be at EA Play Live

So what are they announcing or showing off?

Neither Skate nor Star Wars will feature at this week’s EA Play Live livestream, joining fellow no-shows Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

“We won’t be showing any new Star Wars games at EA Play Live on July 22nd,” the EA Star Wars Twitter account posted last week, “but all of us look forward to celebrating with you next year when we share our vision for the Galaxy far, far away!”

That sentiment was joined by one from Skate‘s Twitter account over the weekend.

“We’ve been working hard on the new game,” it read. “Now, we know many of you were hoping to see more from us this week but we’re not ready for prime time just yet and we won’t be part of the EA Play Live show on Thursday.

“It’s still early and we are committed to doing this thing right which means it’s going to take some time.”

That all said, we will get something Skate related tomorrow, 20 July, according to its developers.

What do you think will be presented at EA Play Live with all these no-shows? Dead Space is rumoured, and also very high on our do-want list.

EA Play Live takes place at 3.00 am AEST on 23 July.
