Need for Speed: Payback can run on Nintendo Switch… but it won’t be

While Need for Speed: Payback can run on a Nintendo Switch, it’s not planned, Ghost Games today confirmed.

“I don’t see why [not], but it’s not something we’re looking to at this very moment,” Executive Producer Marcus Nilsson told Gamespot when asked if Payback could run on Nintendo’s newest offering.

It’s the latest tidbit of bad news from EA towards Switch owners — it was recently confirmed that FIFA 18 on Switch would resemble the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game rather than its Xbox One and PS4 brothers. The Switch version of FIFA doesn’t run on the Frostbite engine and therefore won’t come with The Journey, the franchise’s new story mode.

How does this latest gut punch make you feel, Switch owners?

Need for Speed: Payback heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 10 November.
