Need for Speed Heat is EA’s first cross-play game

Need for Speed Heat will become EA’s first cross-play game on 9 June when the feature is enabled across Windows PC via Steam and Origin alongside Xbox One and PS4.

“At Criterion, we’ve always believed that games are better with friends. We don’t want your platform of choice to be a barrier for that experience,” a post began.

“So we’re thrilled to let you all know that on June 9, Need for Speed Heat will be the first EA title to offer cross-play, meaning that players – regardless of their platform – can jump into Palm City together as one, united community.”

Moreover, Need for Speed Heat will be added to the EA Access and Origin Access Basic Vault, adding a large number of players to the title’s pool.

Need for Speed Heat is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. We reviewed the game here.
