Natalie Portman will star as the next Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth Thor film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel has today announced.
Portman will reprise her role as Jane Foster, who will inherit the hammer and title of Thor from Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth). Both Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) will also star, reprising their roles as well.
Portman’s last true appearance in the MCU was back in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, though footage from that film was used as a cameo inside Avengers: Endgame.
Thor: Ragnarok‘s Taika Waititi will return as director of Thor: Love and Thunder, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on 5 November 2021.
