MultiVersus open beta kicks off on 27 July

Get hype!

MultiVersus open beta will kick off later in July, developer Player First Games has confirmed.

The open beta will kick off properly on 26 July over in the USA — so 27 July here in Australia — with the opportunity for early access kicking off on 20 July down under.

Those who played in the game’s closed alpha — so us here at Stevivor (go and read our thoughts here) — will receive a code to get into the open beta on that earlier start date. New players can try for an early code by linking their WB Games account to their Twitch account and watching allied streamers.

The open beta will include eight maps, a number of modes and the same roster, more or less, that was offered in the closed alpha. The one big exception there is that a new fighter, the Iron Giant, will be added into rotation.

MultiVersus heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 sometime in 2022.
