Mortal Kombat’s 25th anniversary is across a ton of games

NetherRealm and Warner Bros. are celebrating Mortal Kombat‘s 25th anniversary in style, across numerous platforms and games.

Things kick off with the introduction of Raiden inside Injustice 2, NetherRealm’s latest fighter. Raiden is available to those with its “Fighter Pack 2” DLC or the game’s Ultimate Edition. Raiden’s premium skin, Black Lightning, is also available.

Additionally, a number of NetherRealm’s mobile titles will celebrated the storied fighting franchise. Special content includes:

  • Injustice 2 for mobile also adds Raiden to its roster in the form of a Challenge Mode boss and regular roster player (via direct purchase or earned marks).
  • Mortal Kombat X for mobile adds Shao Kahn, two new versions of Goro and a new feature called Relic Hunt.
  • Injustice: Gods Among Us for mobile adds Scorpion to its roster.
  • WWE Immortals for mobile gives Xavier Woods a Raiden costume.

In the real world, a special panel featuring original developers Ed Boon, John Tobias, Dan Forden and John Vogel, moderated by Geoff Keighley, will take place at the New York Comic Con on 8 October.

Injustice 2 is available on Xbox One and PS4. The latest Mortal Kombat title, Mortal Kombat X, is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
