Mortal Kombat X’s Challenge Tower will let you try out DLC characters for free

Mortal Kombat X‘s Challenge Tower will let gamers try out DLC character before buying ’em.

“We have way more challenges and they’re broken up into what we’re calling Living Towers,” Mortal Kombat‘s Ed Boon explained to Angry Joe.

“Every time you turn the game on, there’s going to be three towers in the Living Towers section. One changes every hour, one changes every day, and one is called the Premier Tower, which is kind of like an event tower.

“So for instance, if Jason comes along, you’re going to have a Jason tower that you play as Jason. And you can even use that tower if you didn’t purchase Jason. So it’s really cool, it gives the players a taste of what the character and what it’s like to play them.”

Mortal Kombat X will be available from 14 April on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC. A later release is planned for PS3 and Xbox 360.
