Mortal Kombat animated movie coming in the next few months

A new Mortal Kombat animated movie, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, will release in the first half of 2020, it was recently confirmed.

Directed by Ethan Spaulding (Avatar animated series), the film will star Jordan Rodrigues as Lui Kang, Joel McHale as Johnny Cage, Jennifer Carpenter as Sonya Blade, Patrick Seitz as Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi, Steve Blum as Sub-Zero, Artt Butler as Shang Tsung, Darin De Paul as Quan Chi, Robin Atkin Downes as Kano, David B. Mitchell as Raiden, Ike Amadi as Jax Briggs, Kevin Michael Richardson as Goro, Grey Griffin as Kitana and Satoshi Hasashi, and Fred Tatasciore as a Demon Torturer.

Of note, Kevin Michael Anderson also voiced Goro in the 1995 live-action Mortal Kombat, so that’s some nice continuity there.

We’ll have more on Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge as it becomes available. The animated film is in addition to a new live-action Mortal Kombat film that is being filmed and produced in Adelaide.
