Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate heads to next-gen, adds Mileena & Rambo

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate was today confirmed by Warner Bros and NetherRealm, a title heading to next-gen consoles with cross-play support for specific modes. It also adds Rambo (yes, Rambo) and returning kombatants Mileena and Rain.

Priced at $60 USD (so likely $100 AUD), Ultimate will be available from 17 November and serves as a bundle of Mortal Kombat 11 and every additional piece of content offered for the game, including Kombat Packs 1 & 2. Rambo, Rain and Mileena form part of Kombat Pack 2, in case you were wondering.

If you’re not keen on the extra content (or rather, paying for the extra content), Warner Bros has confirmed that any current owners of Mortal Kombat on Xbox One or PS4 will receive a free next-gen upgrade to Xbox Series S & X or PS5.

Finally, cross-play for specific modes — which have yet to be detailed in full — will be offered between current- and next-gen consoles, though Nintendo Switch and PC weren’t mentioned in a press release.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, Switch and Stadia on 17 November. Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available on the current-gen consoles above, alongside PC and Stadia.
