Monster Train roguelike deck-builder offers upcoming closed beta

Monster Train is a strategic roguelike deck-building game set on a train to Hell, publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment and developer Shiny Shoe recently announced. Moreover, the game will offer a closed beta later this month.

“Hell has frozen over, and it’s up to you to protect the last Pyre from the forces of Heaven and make Hell burn once more,” a press release reads. “Monster Train adds an extra strategic element to roguelike deck-builders with three vertical play fields that must be defended at a time.”

The title will offer over 200 cards, five clans and “multiple routes to take through Hell”. Up to 8 players can compete against one another in a “unique time-based” online multiplayer mode.

Those wishing to take part in the game’s upcoming closed PC beta can sign up for the chance to do so here.

Monster Train will head to Windows PC later this year.
