Monster Hunter XX sports cross-play and cross-saves between 3DS and Switch

Monster Hunter XX 3DS save files will be transferrable with its upcoming Switch version, it was today confirmed.

Via the Monster Hunter Championship 2017, we now know that XX save files will transfer in either direction, meaning players can advance in the game on 3DS, then take it up on Switch, and then continue to bounce between platforms. Both consoles can play together, online.

It was also revealed that the Nintendo Switch version of Monster Hunter XX will render at 720p when in handheld mode and 1080p when docked.

What do you make of the news? Will you continue to play the 3DS version of Monster Hunter XX if you’ve also got it on Switch?
