Monster Hunter Wilds open beta runs over October, November

Monster Hunter Wilds open beta has been confirmed for PC and consoles over October and November.

The open beta kicks off on PS5 for those with PlayStation Plus before filtering down to PC and Xbox. Here’s what to expect, and when, and for whom.

  • PlayStation 5:
    • PlayStation Plus Early Access: 2.00 pm AEDT on 29 October to 2.59 pm AEDT on 31 October 31
    • Non-PlayStation Plus Subscribers: 3.00 pm AEDT on 1 November 1 to 1.59 pm AEDT on 4 November
  • Xbox Series X|S: 3.00 pm AEDT on 1 November 1 to 1.59 pm AEDT on 4 November
  • Windows PC via Steam: 3.00 pm AEDT on 1 November to 1.59 pm AEDT on 4 November

Capcom has also pointed out that those on Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X do not need Xbox Game Pass to take part.

“Participants will also receive a special bonus Pendant to decorate their weapons or Seikret mount alongside a helpful item pack in the full release of Monster Hunter Wilds,” the publisher said in a press release.

“The Open Beta Test will include three separate experiences: the complete character creation tool with character creation data that will be transferable to the full game upon release, a Story Trial, and the free-roaming Doshaguma Hunt.”

Expect Monster Hunter Wilds from 28 February 2025 on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
