Monster Hunter Stories coming to Switch, PS4, PC

The 3DS game gets a re-release.

The 3DS’ Monster Hunter Stories will be re-released on Windows PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

“Embark on a journey into a colorful world where mighty monsters roam and people make a living by hunting them,” Capcom said in a press release. “Nestled within this land lies a hidden village where the locals follow a different set of customs. Here, Monster Riders form bonds with Monsties instead of hunting them.”

The title was first announced for 3DS back in 2015 and released in 2017. In our review, Matt said “the game makes great use of the 3DS hardware, and the snappy battle system and monster den mini-dungeons make it perfect for short-burst play on the go.”

Interestingly enough, Matt added that he hoped “this first instalment will do well enough to warrant a remaster or sequel on the Switch, because I would pawsitively inhale this side-series.”

Your wish is Capcom’s command, Matt.

The title will offer up refined graphics, fully-voiced characters, additional language support, a Museum mode, and all included title updates.

Expect Monster Hunter Stories on Windows PC, PS4, and Switch later this year. The title is already available on 3DS.
