Miyamoto wanted Pac-Man for Super Smash Bros. Brawl

If Shigeru Miyamoto had his way, Pac-Man would have been a playable character as far back as Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Smash Bros. Creator Masahiro Sakurai recently revealed to Famitsu that Miyamoto made the suggestion as Brawl was in production.

“At the time, imagining the image of Pac-Man and his incomplete pizza shape, I thought to myself, ‘Hmmm… That’s a little too farfetched.’

“You never know what’s going to happen in this world. I’ll just keep my mouth shut. That’s a good idea,” Sakurai said.

Pac-Man of course stars in Super Smash Bros., coming in October on 3DS and Christmas on Wii U.
