Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once and Always brings legacy characters to Netflix

The film is packed with nostalgia.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once and Always is a film full of nostalgia, with legacy characters from the franchise’s first two big rosters reprising their roles.

Timed for the franchise’s 30th anniversary, the film will star David Yost (Billy the Blue Ranger) and Walter Emanuel Jones (Zack the Black Ranger) from the original cast, joined by Steve Cardenas (Rocky the Red Ranger) and Catherine Sutherland (Kat the Pink Ranger) from the franchise’s second cast as they join together to stop a robotic Rita Repulsa. The four will be joined by Charlie Kersh, who will play Minh, the daughter of original Yellow Ranger Trini (who was portrayed by the late Thuy Trang).

The trailer also offers up footage of the original Green Ranger, so the late Jason David Frank will play a part in some way.

“The Rangers come face-to-face with a familiar threat from the past,” the description of a new trailer reads. “In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs.”

Expect Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once and Always on Netflix from 19 April.
