Your Middle-earth: Shadow or Mordor’s save file might be important in Shadow of War

It looks quite likely that your save file for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will play a big part in its sequel, Shadow of War.

Monolith’s Michael de Plater almost spilled the beans recently in conversation with GamesRadar.

“Oh… I don’t remember what we’re allowed to say about that,” de Plater said when asked if save files could be transferred between the two games. He excused himself to check with a Warner Bros. representative before continuing.

Sadly, that continuation was in the form of, “We’re not saying anything at this time.”

Both titles revolve around the ever changing Nemesis System, which requires that you as the player eliminate an evil chain of command. Since it will be unique to each player, it makes sense that save files are very important to the process.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War heads to Windows PC (Windows 10 and Steam), Xbox One and PS4 in August. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere title on Windows 10 PC and Xbox One.
