Microsoft begins rollout of Copilot AI into Xbox app

The features nobody asked for...

Microsoft has started to rollout its Copilot AI into the Xbox app, starting with early testing in the beta version of its Xbox apps on iOS and Android devices.

“In this early version, beta testers can ask Copilot about any games, including the game they’re currently playing, or ask for help if they get stuck,” Microsoft advised. “It can also answer questions about their Xbox activity, like play history and achievements, or even provide recommendations of what to play next.”

Questions that Microsoft suggests asking are as follows:

  • “Hey Copilot, what’s the rarest achievement you can get in Avowed?”
  • “What was the last achievement I got in Starfield?”
  • “When does my Game Pass subscription renew?”

“As we explore new ideas and continue to experiment,we’ll be bringing new features like Copilot for Gaming to the community early and often,” Microsoft added. “Your feedback will be critical in helping us shape these experiences and ensuring that they’re truly aligned with player needs and preferences.”

Microsoft has also added Copilot into its Office 365 subscription service — we’ve detailed how to opt out and save some cash here.
