Metal Gear Survive charges $10 USD for a second character

Metal Gear Survive will charge players $10 USD for a second character slot, it was recently discovered.

Konami’s Frankenstein’d crystal-zombie apocalypse mash-up is getting smashed by critics (we weren’t offered a review code, and frankly, aren’t about to lay out hard earned for it), and microtransactions aren’t helping.

US Gamer reports that Survive players will need to spend 1,000 Survival Coins, or a little under $10 USD, to unlock a second character slot. Otherwise, players will be able to create one character and use that one in both single- and multiplayer action.

Sure, it’s the tip of the iceburg when it comes to Survive‘s failings, but it’s pretty gross nonetheless.

Have you bit the bullet and given Metal Gear Survive a go? Why or why not? It’s available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
