Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is getting a companion app

Companion apps — loved by all, right? Maybe not, but at any rate, Konami is rolling one out for The Phantom Pain.

The newly-announced companion app will work as a second screen for Snake’s iDroid and allows map access and music control.

The app is not compatible with Windows PC or Xbox 360 versions of the game.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available from 1 September on Windows PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. We previewed it here.
