Melbourne’s Glitch Crab Studios and Level Squared clean up at The Game Awards

Melbourne’s Glitch Crab Studios today took home the Best Student Game Award for its title, Level Squared.

The Glitch Grab team is composed of eight students — Benedict Zeng, Dane Perry Svendsen, Genevieve Rathgeber, Kip Brennan, Mark Tan, Matthew Harvey, Stephen Scoglio and Tegan Nicholson, all attending Swinburne University and studying Game & Interactivity and Games Development.

Level Squared started off life as Four Shadow, a gothic 2D puzzle-platformer, before being retooled into a non-gothic 2D puzzle-platformer for PAX AUS.

Well done to Glitch Crab Studios!
