Melbourne gets the first Australian Mortal Kombat X tournament with BAM7

Warner Bros. today advised of a partnership with CouchWarriors that will bring Mortal Kombat X to Melbourne in tournament form.

Battle Arena Melbourne 7 has been billed by the partnership as the “first large scale tournament for Mortal Kombat X in Australia.”

The tournament will feature the Mortal Kombat Pit, an R18+ themed tournament play area, a Mortal Kombat X tournament with a $1,000 AUD prize pool and special guest, two-time EVO World Champion Carl ‘Perfect Legend’ White.

Battle Arena Melbourne 7 runs from 22-24 May. Mortal Kombat X heads to PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC on 15 April.

Update: I apparently forgot how months work. Updated this post’s title and opening line accordingly.
