Mediatonic will refund those impacted by Fall Guys auto-buy bug

The worst microtransactions are the ones you've haven't even initiated.

Fall Guys auto-buy bug has impacted numerous players, leading to developer Mediatonic stated it will honour refund requests made a result of the issue.

The bug has impacted those who’ve inspected premium purchase items, somehow buying the items even though the user hasn’t actually initiated the purchase process.

Reddit user ChunkyPeat said that Mediatonic initially said his “purchases” would stick.

“You have stated that this is a ‘bugged purchase’ and a ‘known issue’. Neither of these things is the case,” reads an alleged response to a ticket the user filed.

Since that time, Mediatonic has acknowledged the issue and has promised to “make it right”.

“We heard your feedback on accidental purchases – and we’re sorry,” a tweet reads. “We’re improving the store design to prevent this. All refund requests for cosmetics from 21st June 2022 will be honoured until we improve the store.”

Mediatonic will also provide all players with a GRANDIS cosmetic, as seen above.
