Matrix Awakens Unreal Engine 5 experience available this week

Fancy new tech timed for The Game Awards.

A special The Matrix Awakens Unreal Engine 5 experience is now available for pre-loading on both PS5 and Xbox Series X ahead of a launch timed for The Game Awards later this week.

Available to play from 10 December here in Australia, the demo is “a wild ride into the reality-bending universe of The Matrix that features performances by Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss,” according to Epic Games and film director Lana Wachowski.

Unreal Engine 5 is still in early access but promises big advancements as compared to the current-day Unreal Engine 4. You can get a taste of what to expect with the experience in the video below while you wait.

The Matrix Ressurections feature film heads to theatres in late December. The Game Awards 2021 kicks off at 12pm AEDT on Friday, 10 December.
