And it's already available!
Matchmaker Dungeon Heart is the debut game from the Melbourne-based Ghost Moth, a match-3 and visual novel combo that promotes queer and body positivity themes.
Available in Steam early access since August 2024, the title officially launched earlier this month.
“In a land threatened by the ever growing and relentless Forces of Light, you find … that you have died,” reads a statement from Ghost Moth. “Caught somewhere in the crossfire of the Light’s crusade against magic and monsters, your life ended, yet here you are again, a skeleton come to life, standing beneath the watchful eye of a powerful Lich who governs the depths of Torkadall, and provides sanctuary for its various inhabitants.”

“Your mission is clear: train the enigmatic inhabitants of Torkadall, befriend them, protect them, and prepare them for the imminent clash with the Forces of Light,” Ghost Moth continued. “Safeguard the hidden sanctuary while the Lich works to conjure a powerful, magical rite that could finally liberate the continent of Ambrios from the tyranny of the light-wielders.”
Ghost Moth itself was founded in 2021 after securing funding for Matchmaker Dungeon Heart through VicScreen.
“Starting out as a husband & wife team, the studio founded itself with five core developers and has now grown to include five more regular collaborators and showcases Australian talent at its finest,” the studio said.
The number of devs on the title has grown since its inception — Ghost Moth is fully remote and has current staff working out of Victoria, South Australia, ACT, and New Zealand.
You can get a taste of what to expect from the title — described by the studio as “fifty percent visual novel, fifty percent match-3 puzzle RPG, one hundred percent monster dating sim” — above.
Matchmaker Dungeon Heart is available now on Windows PC via Steam right here; the title’s priced at $29.50 AUD, and a demo is also accessible before you buy.
