Marvel Zombies heads to Marvel Rivals for Halloween

Time to shred the undead?

A special Marvel Zombies PvE mode will be added to Marvel Rivals just in time for Halloween near the end of October.

The mode is based off of the Disney+ Marvel Zombies animated television show, which itself is based off a run of Marvel comic books. In it, players will be able to control Blade, Jeff the Shark, Magik, The Punisher, and Thor as they take on “endless waves of zombies”.

The playable characters will also gain new skills not seen elsewhere inside Marvel Rivals to help them do so.

“We’ve also given each hero some unique abilities,” said Marvel Games’ Danny Koo. “Charge through the hordes as Jeff, slice and dice with Blade’s bouncing Moon Blades, shock zombies with Thor in his persistent Awakened state, or go berserk as Magik in her unlimited Darkchild form. Showcase your epic combat skills against the zombie swarms and tough bosses!”

Check out what to expect in a new trailer, above. Marvel Zombies heads to Marvel Rivals from 24 October here in Australia.

Marvel Rivals is out now on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5. Marvel Zombies is streaming on Disney+.
