Marvel Rivals Season 5 adds non-combat map, heroes Gambit and Rogue

Time to chill?

Marvel Rivals Season 5 will add Times Square, its first non-combat map, alongside new heroes Gambit and Rogue starting this week.

First, the new map. According to the developer, Times Square is “a brand-new non-combat map built for heroes to unwind, connect, and express themselves.”

Up to 100 players can enter the map at one time, and each will be encouraged to “gather to dance, watch videos, read, explore, and create unforgettable moments beyond the battlefield.”

The map will be available from 15 November here in Australia, coinciding with the release of Marvel Rivals Season 5, “Love is a Battlefield”. Also coming in Season 5 are two new characters — Rogue and Gambit — alongside cross-progression, new accessories, perks for college students, and more.

“Before the Timestream Entanglement tore their world apart, Gambit and Rogue were ready to say ‘I do’ on Krakoa,” NetEase said, introducing the two new X-Men. “But destiny intervened. Now, Gambit sets out on a daring cosmic heist to steal the universe’s rarest ring – and win back the moment time itself stole from them.”

Gambit will be a Strategist character coming on 15 November, followed by Rogue later in the season.

A new 18v18 Conquest mode will also feature as part of Season 5, but follows later on 28 November here in Australia.

Marvel Rivals is out now on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
