Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 online shooter gunning for Overwatch

Check it out inside.

Marvel Rivals is a new 6v6 team-based, online shooter similar to that of Overwatch, and we’ve got your first look at the title inside.

“Assemble your favorite Marvel characters and engage in 6v6 battles, utilizing brand-new Team-Up Skills in destructible locations from across the Marvel Multiverse,” Marvel and NetEase said, detailing the title. An announce trailer, below, showcases the 18 heroes and villains that will be available at launch.

Those 18 characters are Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, The Punisher, Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Storm, and Star-Lord.

Marvel Rivals is one of our most ambitious development projects,” said Jay Ong, head of Marvel Games, in a press release. “Since the conceptualization of the game and throughout our collaboration, our Marvel team has poured our hearts and souls into this project, and we are thrilled to work with the incredible team at NetEase Games to help deliver the ultimate Super Hero team-based PVP shooter.”

A closed alpha will take place in May and offer up most of that roster of 18. To sign up to potentially take part, head to MarvelRivals.com.

Marvel Rivals is planned for a release on PC; we’ll keep you informed as we learn more.
