Skydance needs more time to polish.
Marvel 1943 Rise of Hydra has been delayed into 2026, Skydance Games has today confirmed.
Originally due this year, the delay is because Skydance Games needs to “add more polish”.
“Taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience, and one that lives up to our vision,” reads Skydance’s full statement.
In development at a studio led by Uncharted‘s Amy Hennig, Marvel 1943 is set in WWII and will focus on Steve Rogers/Captain America, Azzuri/Black Panther (T’Challa’s grandfather); Howling Commando Gabriel Jones, and Wakandan spy Nanali.
Khary Payton will star as Black Panther, Drew Moerlein plays Captain America, Megalyn Echikunwoke is Nanali, and Marque Richardson is Gabriel Jones.
We’ll have more on Marvel 1943 Rise of Hydra when it’s made available. For now, expect the title in 2026.
