Mario Kart Tour brings the franchise to smartphones

Nintendo today confirmed Mario Kart Tour, a version of the popular franchise that will appear on smartphones.

“The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near,” Nintendo tweeted. “A new mobile application is now in development: Mario Kart Tour! #MarioKartTour Releasing in the fiscal year ending in March 2019.”

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more about the title. It’s likely, as with other mobile apps, that the game will be available on both iOS and Android devices.
