Man attempts to pay for Fallout 4 with 2,000 bottle caps

An imgur user named GatorMacheteJr is hoping to secure a copy of Fallout 4 with nothing but bottle caps, the currency of the franchise’s Wasteland.

Gator sent 2,000 bottle caps, weighing in at just over 5kg, to Bethesda with a letter explaining he’d happy part with his collection in exchange for the game. The gamer has been collecting bottle caps for over 7.5 years.

Fallout 3 was my favourite game for several years, so I made the rational choice to start saving up bottle caps,” he says in the album description. “Turns out 4.5 years of undergrad and 3 years in a Master’s program leads to a lot of drinking.”

‘I’m hoping if this post gets popular enough their PR department will be too nervous to turn me down,” he concludes.

We’ll let you know if Bethesda replies.
