Malys is a roguelite deckbuilder from Stray Gods’ Summerfall Studios

And Summerfall wants you to Kickstart it.

Malys is the next game from Stray Gods‘ Summerfall Studios, a roguelite deckbuilder that’s hoping for your support on Kickstarter.

“Choose your path and strengthen your deck of arcane tricks,” Summerfall said of the game in a press release. “Expose, endure, and expel evil from the innocent possessed. Confront your past, forge precarious alliances, and uncover the truth.

“As Noah, former priest turned exorcist and demon hunter, you ride the streets of a festering city in the dead of night. This city teems with demons, and among them lies your prey: Malys, a demon of extraordinary cunning and power,” Summerfall continued. “Use your deck to expose the rot within. Find unique combinations and strategies to withstand the horrors. Help the hopeless and free the possessed, or die in the attempt… over and over again.”

Written by David Gaider, Summerfall is counting on the generosity of players to continue development work. A pre-launch Kickstarter page for Malys is now live, though the studio didn’t detail when the call for pledges will actually kick off.

“This Kickstarter… will enable Summerfall to work closely with their community to make the Malys the best game it can be, giving the team additional development time and opening themselves up to unique opportunities for communication and collaboration,” the studio said.

Expect Malys sometime later this year on Windows PC via Steam.
