Mafia Definitive Edition has been delayed until September 2020 as a result of complications arising from the COVID-10 coronavirus pandemic, 2K and Hangar 13 have announced.
“Finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience,” the duo said in a statement.
The title is now expected on 25 September; it was originally planned for 28 August.
As an apology, a 15-second teaser was today released (below) alongside the news that an extended gameplay look will be offered on 22 July.
Definitive Editions of both Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 are available standalone and bundled with Mafia itself as part of the Mafia Trilogy bundle. Two-thirds of that are available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
