Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD release date vacuums ghosts in June

Another one.

The Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD release date has been set for 27 June, Nintendo has today announced.

This version, to become available on Switch, is a souped up port of the 2013 3DS original.

“Welcome to Evershade Valley, a place that’s screaming and teeming with the supernatural,” Nintendo said of the title back when it was announced in September 2023. “Luigi and his vacuum-like device, the Poltergust, ensue mansion mayhem and Luigi must face his courage to save the day! Up to 4 players can play together locally and online across different multiplayer modes.”

Our very own Nicholas reviewed the original, and he wasn’t sold.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 isn’t quite the bundle of fun and nostalgia I was expecting,” he wrote. “The game starts off great, and it’s not even horrible after that, but eventually the frustration and the repetition kicks in, and that’s when my enjoyment in this game really began to fall.”

Nintendo also announced the release date for Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Doorwhich can be expected in May.

You can expect Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD on Nintendo Switch from 27 June.
