Live-action Pokemon Netflix series coming, says report

Something in the same vein as Detective Pikachu? Yes please!

A new live-action Pokemon Netflix series is on the way, a new report from Variety suggests.

The outlet reports that the production is in “early days” but will be helmed by Joe Henderson, who’s currently wrapping up the last season of Lucifer.

Henderson will serve as writer and executive producer on the new Pokemon series, which is said to be “akin to the Detective Pikachu film starring Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith that was released in 2019.” Said movie used CGI Pokemon and real-life actors to offer up an engaging, emotional story. If that’s what this alleged TV series is going for, we’re all about it.

Would you like to see a live-action Pokemon Netflix TV series in the coming years? Why or why not?
