Life is Strange creator delays new IP because of Life is Strange

Lost Records gets out of the way of its spiritual predecessor.

Life is Strange creator DONTNOD has delayed the release of its narrative adventure game, Lost Records, because of Life is Strange. Rather, Life of Strange Double Exposure, a new sequel from Deck Nine.

“We’ve made the decision to move the release dates of Lost Records Bloom & Rage to early 2025,” DONTNOD began.

“We know you’re all excited for both Lost Records and the new Life Is Strange game, and we wanted to ensure both have adequate space to shine. The wait will be worth it.”

DONTNOD developed both Life is Strange and Life is Strange 2 before Deck Nine took over the franchise with Life is Strange True Colors in 2017. Deck Nine will directly continue the story of the original Life is Strange, featuring protagonist Max Caulfield, in Double Exposure.

Players can expect Life of Strange Double Exposure from 29 October, followed by Lost Records Bloom & Rage later in 2025. Both titles will be available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
