LEGO Dimensions’ “Hire-a-Hero” lets you try before you buy; new Wave available

Warner Bros. today announced LEGO Dimensions‘ “Hire-a-Hero” feature, one that lets you try minifigures out without purchasing them first.

The feature “allows players to sample a selection of Wave 1 expansion pack characters using studs collected in the game,” Warner Bros. said. “Players can select the hologram minifigure near certain hint stones to unlock characters for a limited time to try out their special abilities to solve problems and complete puzzles. Characters from subsequent waves of expansion packs will be added in the future.”

The news comes alongside the release of Wave 2 Level, Team and Fun packs based on Doctor Who, Ninjago, The Simpsons and The LEGO Movie.
