The Legend of Zelda may be going multiplayer “next year”

The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has seemingly confirmed a multiplayer component for the 2015 Wii U game.

“When I was talking back about making Zelda more than just a single-player experience? That’s something you will see in the future, maybe next year,” Aonuma said to GameInformer.

Sure, Aonuma could be speaking of the upcoming Hyrule Warriors, but that’s too much of a cop-out in our opinion.

Does the notion of multiplayer within the open world Legend of Zelda on Wii U excite you?
