Dragon Quest’s Hero available in Smash Bros this week

Update: Last night’s Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct confirmed that Hero will be available in the game on 31 July (or perhaps 1 August here in Australia). The fighter comes alongside the game’s 4.0.0 update.

Original story: Dragon Quest‘s Hero will be added into Super Smash Bros Ultimate via DLC this week, a new leak suggests ahead of a Smash Bros Direct to be held later tonight.

The leak comes by way of Twitter’s @PushDustln, who screencapped an early tweet made by Nintendo Europe regarding the release of Smash Bros Ultimate‘s 4.0.0 patch. It’s below.

It’s likely Hero will be accompanied by the game’s 4.0.0 update, much like Persona 5‘s Joker was released with the 3.0.0 update. Time will tell of course — the Smash Bros Direct is scheduled for 11.00 pm AEST and it’s likely the release date and time will be confirmed during the event. We’ll keep you posted.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch.
