Lawbreakers’ Cliffy B is “done” with making video games

Lawbreakers‘ Cliff Bleszinski, otherwise known as Cliffy B, has said he is “done” with making video games.

“I’m done,” Bleszinski told GamesIndustry after detailing how he’d taken care of staff in the wake of the collapse of his newest studio, Boss Key Productions.

“I paid my employees, their 401ks, and their health care – even months after the studio folded. So they could care for their families. I didn’t take a salary myself for two years. I get you’re sad, but god, this kinda sh*t is another reason I am NEVER making another game,” he tweeted earlier.

Bleszinski has worked in video games for decades, working on titles including Jazz Jackrabbit, Unreal Tournament and Gears of War at Epic Games. After a break from the industry, he returned in 2015 and created Boss Key Productions in order to work on Lawbreakers. Boss Key closed its doors in May 2018.
