The Last Campfire is the latest from No Man Sky’s Hello Games

The Last Campfire is the next game from No Man Sky‘s Hello Games, and heads to a number of platforms later this year.

“You play as Ember,” Hello Games detailed on its blog. “You are trapped in a puzzling place, searching for meaning and a way home. At its heart, it is the story of rekindling hope in an otherwise hopeless world.”

Despite a reveal at The Game Awards 2018, the game’s announcement trailer (?) is below.

“We call it a Hello Games Short,” the developer said back in 2018. “Like Pixar shorts it’s a way to foster creativity and new voices in the studio. We started by making Joe Danger, before No Man’s Sky, and we want to pay forward our success to give others the opportunity to do the same.”

The Last Campfire is planned for a mid-2020 release on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.
