Lara Croft’s in Dead by Daylight today, 2v8 and cross-progression later this month

Yay!

The Tomb Raider herself, Lara Croft, is now available inside Dead by Daylight, with a 2v8 mode and cross-progression coming later this month.

First, Lara — and this is Crystal Dynamic’s trilogy reboot version, to be specific — is the title’s newest survivor. She possesses the Finesse, Hardened, and Specialist perks, with the former allowing for faster vaulting when healthy.

You can get a small taste of what to expect with Lara in the trailer, below.

Next, cross-progression will be implemented from 23 July here in Australia. Shared progression, shared inventory, shared paid currency, and shared DLC will work across PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

Over on Nintendo Switch, shared paid currency and shared DLC will not carry over between systems.

Finally, a 2v8 mode will add double the game’s survivors and killers in a single match. Expect this from 26 July here in Australia.

Dead by Daylight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Switch; it’s also available through Xbox Game Pass.
