Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess coming later in 2024

What is it, exactly? We dunno.

Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess was (sort of) announced today and today shown off at the Xbox Partner Preview ahead of another look later this week.

We first knew about the title as it was name-dropped ahead of a Capcom livestream that will take place from 10.00 am AEDT tomorrow, 8 March, here in Australia.

In a press release, Capcom called the title “a new genealogy of Okami and Shinsekai Into the Depths“, also confirming it will be available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S & X, and PS5. The title will also feature on Xbox Game Pass.

“The game takes place on a mountain covered by defilement,” Capcom continued. “During the day, purify the villages and prepare yourself for sundown. During the night, protect the Maiden against the hordes of the Seethe.

“Repeat the day and night cycle until you cleanse the mountain of defilement and return peace to the land.”

What does that translate to, in terms of gameplay? Well, we’re not entirely sure if we’re being honest. Check out the video above and let us know what you think.

Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess is planned for a 2024 release on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
