Konami celebrates Castlevania 35th anniversary… with NFTs

Yay.

Konami has announced plans to celebrate Castlevania‘s 35th anniversary with non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Said tokens include pixel art, visual art, videos and more. The content is currently available to view on the Konami Memorial NFT website.

“In commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the Castlevania series, NFTs featuring game scenes, BGM, and newly drawn art from the Castlevania series has been issued,” Konami said on the website.

The auction runs between 13-15 January 2022; winning bidders will have their details displayed on the website between February-December 2022.

Happy anniversary to Castlevania! We just wish that Konami would have done something cool for the occasion rather than a gross, trend-following cash grab.
