Knockout City Xbox Game Pass, EA Play day one release confirmed

Is this the multiplayer dodgeball game's saving grace?

A Knockout City Xbox Game Pass and EA Play day one release was today confirmed by Velan, EA and Microsoft.

Direct subscribers to EA Play on Xbox and PlayStation consoles will gain access to the title at no cost. Moreover, the title will be offered on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — which also provides access to EA Play — on both Xbox One and Xbox Series S & X. Windows PC access via Xbox Game Pass does not appear to be offered.

We previewed the dodgeball game back in February 2021, questioning Velan’s decision to make the multiplayer title a paid offering in a free-to-play space dominated by the likes of Call of Duty Warzone and Fortnite. Hopefully this inclusion into Xbox Game Pass means players will feel more confortable in giving it a try without the need to splash some cash.

Knockout City is planned for a 21 May 2020 release on Windows PC via Origin and Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, P4, PS5 and Switch. Cross-play and cross-progression will be offered between all platforms.
