Kingdom Hearts 3 release date will be revealed next month

The Kingdom Hearts 3 release date will finally be revealed next month, Square Enix has confirmed.

Game Director, Tetsuya Nomura, used a preview event to confirm that “we are very close to really finalizing the date right now, so we do plan to reveal it early next month.”

That would coincide with a special Square Enix E3 Showcase planned for 3.00 am AEST on 12 June (or check your timezone here).

Today’s preview event showcased the game’s Olympus (Hercules) and Toy Box (Toy Story) levels and was accompanied by new screenshots. We’ve placed a couple above.

Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced back in 2013, with a vague release date of 2018 being set a year ago. The title is planned for Xbox One and PS4.
