JB Hi-Fi provides update on next-gen console pre-orders

JB Hi-Fi has broken its silence and created an FAQ that details what’s next for those who’ve pre-ordered a next-gen console through the retailer.

JB promises that customers will be SMSed “very soon with a link to pay the remaining balance for your new console.” Notifications will be sent out in the order that pre-orders were received, with the retailer also adding that “due to demand, stock limitations some customers will get their console closer to Christmas.”

JB continues onto say that customers would choose Click and Collect to ensure they can receive their Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X or PS5 on the day of launch (if you’re that far ahead in the queue, of course) and stressed that those who opt for delivery will not receive their console on launch day.

Moreover, JB Hi-Fi Gift Cards will not be accepted, with only MasterCard, VISA and PayPal allowed to pay remaining balances.

The Xbox Series S & X head to store shelves on 10 November, followed by the PS5 on 12 November.
