Japan’s CERO to reopen its doors on 7 May

Japan’s CERO ratings board will reopen its doors from 7 May, the organisation has declared.

“The Organization was temporarily closed due to the government’s declaration of an emergency regarding the new coronavirus, and the Governor of Tokyo’s request to refrain from going out,” a translated statement sent to GamesTalk reads.

“Business will resume from 7th. We apologize for the great concern and burden to the members and other related parties during the holidays. Business hours are from 10 am to 4 pm for off-peak commuting. In addition, JQA is currently preparing for the early introduction of telework.”

Back in early April, CERO said it would close between 8 April and 6 May, citing the way in which it classified games as dangerous in the face of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
