IRONFALL Invasion heads to the Nintendo 3DS eShop this weekend

Nintendo Australia today confirmed that IRONFALL Invasion is heading to the Nintendo 3DS eShop this weekend.

“At a time when Earth has been invaded by an alien horde, IRONFALL Invasion pits you in the military boots of a courageous resistance movement fighting to reclaim the planet from the clutches of the Dyxides,” Nintendo said of the title. “The action will take players across the globe, with intense battles raging across urban landscapes, underground laboratories, vast canyons, and even inside a volcano, with the constant need to find cover in the environments and keep an eye on your heart rate – if the latter exceeds 200, your fight is over.”

While Nintendo has said that “some free content will be available from launch,” the game has two extra – purchasable — modes, including an 11 level campaign and local & onilne multiplayer for up to six players.

Either of the purchasable modes above are priced at $13.00 AUD/$17.00 NZD, or both can be purchased for $26.00 AUD/$34.00 NZD. Those who purchase both modes, separately, are entitled to a bonus multiplayer pistol. Those who purchase both modes, as a pack, get the pistol plus access to the game’s soundtrack.

The game will also run at 60 frames per second and supports extra New 3DS functionality.

Update: We made an error in terms of bonus item availability when purchasing in-game content. This has been corrected in the text above.
